Energo: Ukraine secures billions in aid from allies to bolster energy sector

Ukraine's allies have pledged over €1bn in financial support to bolster the country's energy industry and facilitate post-war reconstruction.

The United Kingdom has allocated over €173.9mn to fortify Ukraine's energy sector. Ukraine also stands to benefit from a €560mn injection from the European Investment Bank (EIB), earmarked for critical energy, transport infrastructure and housing reconstruction projects.

Germany has provided over 100 humanitarian aid shipments to Ukrainian energy workers over the past two years. As the largest donor to the Energy Support Fund, Germany's contributions have amounted to €225mn, bolstering Ukraine's resilience in the face of Russian attacks on its energy infrastructure.
